Albatrosses. In the foreground is a black albatross with her chick
in the nest. Chicks of either species look the same. The chick is about
the size of a large, full-grown duck. While I was at Midway, I saw a
Canada goose land in the antenna field, amidst gooneys. Aside from
looking exhausted and lost, the goose looked like a midget
among the much larger gooneys. As do most other birds, gooneys
feed their young by regurgitation.
